Countrystyle Recycling Limited has become recognised as one of the fastest growing resource management and recycling business in the UK today. The business delivers services across a diverse customer base with focus on the South East but with a rapidly expanding national presence. Its key areas of operation are across five service streams;

 

• Waste collections and logistics
• Waste wood treatment and recycling
• Bio waste treatment
• Plasterboard board recycling
• Integrated specialist waste contracts

 

Their business is reliant on strong relationships with SMEs, multinationals and local authorities. This is reflected in their success with securing and retaining key contracts and relationships delivering more than ten strategic accounts with a value of over £500k per annum. The organisation has clear aspirations and a 5 year business plan in place to double in size through organic and acquisition activities. They are now in our 2nd year of this exciting evolution and long term investment programme. This in itself has created the need to bring in new skills to strengthen the management team for it to achieve its goals. This is not only achieved by individuals, but by a real team focus and spirit.

Challenge and Facts

 

2010: Harbury supported the companies’ business plans by managing a multi-disciplined recruitment strategy for multiple hires from inception to on-boarding. Harbury completed the work and gained recognition as our ‘trusted advisor’ for management and senior recruitment.

 

2014: Harbury were reengaged to strengthen the management team across a range of expertise as the business had evolved. Full search and selection methodologies were utilised in highlighting and recruiting 5 new skill sets across board and management levels.

 

Harbury Consulting had to understand the leadership needs and plans for the business and make sure all stakeholders understood the challenge of the journey they were about to start. We prepared 5 job specifications and delivered an effective plan to hire these skills by utilising search and selection methodologies with full end to end project management.
